Windows 8.1 Preview: Available ISO | Download (English)

After two days, Microsoft has finally released ISO file of Windows 8.1 Preview on its website, which is available in several languages. In these last 48 hours we have followed guides and alternative methods for the installation of the new release Microsoft, through the ISO will certainly be much simpler, burning directly to DVD, USB or using software capable of emulating the Hard Drive.

These are the simple steps on the official website and warnings depending on the operating system before installation:

  • Download the ISO file (. Iso)
  • Double-tap or double-click on the ISO file.
  • Double-tap or double-click the setup.exe file and run the steps.

If you’re using Windows 7, the easiest way to convert an ISO file to a DVD burner is to use disk images of Windows . On a PC running Windows XP or Windows Vista you need a third-party program to convert an ISO file into a support installed, functionality is often included in a software for burning DVDs.

If you decide to install Windows 8.1 Preview by the ISO file, you can not uninstall it . If you decide to go back to the previous version of the operating system, you must reinstall it using the recovery media or installation supplied with your PC, typically a DVD. If you’re running Windows 8  and you do not have recovery media, you could create a unit of Restore USB. If you’re running Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP  and you do not have recovery media, you may create them from a recovery partition on your PC using the software provided by the PC manufacturer. For more information, see the Support section on the website of the PC manufacturer. After you install Windows 8.1 Preview, you can not use the recovery partition on the PC to return to the previous version of Windows.
